3D Printing Becomes the "Accelerator" for Humanoid Robot Manufacturing in 2026

At industry exhibitions such as Formnext Asia 2026, the combination of 3D printing and humanoid robots became a focal point. Companies such as Chromalloy showcased full-process metal printing solutions ranging from robot frames to joints, achieving weight reductions of up to 60% through biomimetic trabecular and lattice structure designs.

Farsoon launched a PEBA flexible printing solution that, combined with supercritical physical foaming, produces parts roughly 70% lighter than conventional TPU materials, suitable for cushioning and "lattice muscle" structures in robots. In addition, Creality jointly held an exterior design competition with Zhiyuan Robotics, using desktop 3D printing to achieve a customization model with zero mold costs and 24-hour output of physical objects, greatly shortening robot R&D cycles and lowering manufacturing costs.
